Tunestor is free software that enables you to download music (such as an mp3 file) from the Web to your iPod in just two clicks, anonymously share your downloads with other users, and discover music downloaded by the Tunestor community!
Pros: Tunestor makes the process of downloading music from the internet and storing into iTunes library so that syncing with iPod is easier. This can be done in two simple mouse clicks. The normal process involves several steps without the right mouse click option made available by the Tunestor plug-in in Firefox.
One would typically download the mp3 file using a browser, select the location of the file and let the download be completed. Then you would need to start iTunes and manually copy downloaded tune into the iTunes library.
With the Tunestor downloaded one just has to select “Download directly into iTunes” option created by Tunestor on a right mouse click. The whole process will be done automatically; so that next time a iPod is connected the downloaded track will get transferred to it.
Tunestor has access to a social music sharing network via Tunestory. One can share and download music free and anonymously.
Cons: File/music sharing may not be strictly legal. One needs to be sure of the legality in the sharing and downloading provided by the Tunestory feature.
Overall the service, as stated, are provided without any issues. It is almost a no-brainer, needing just a mouse click. Though a siple service, it’s done well. So Tunestor is definitely a 4 star application.
It really helps you and saves alot of time when downloading music directly to iTunes and iPod from internet!
